March 21, 2016 – Providence, RI. The Retail Project RI announced today the launch of their fourth retail brand, Fetcher Bay, and its online store FetcherBay.com. Fetcher Bay is a specialty retailer of “Canine Gear”, and specifically outdoor dog clothing, canine camping equipment, outdoor dog beds, and dog travel accessories. Fetcher Bay is a go-to online shopping and inspirational resource for active individuals and families who want to include their dogs in all their life adventures.

The pet accessories portion of the approximately $50B US pet industry continues to grow, serving the 56% of American households that own a pet. Yet, the outdoor accessories market for dogs is poorly served by a marginal focus both by big-box pet retailers and outdoor equipment specialty stores. Fetcher Bay aims to change that, and become the primary national retail brand for dog accessories specifically for outdoor activities and travel. The Retail Project RI is excited to open the virtual doors to FetcherBay.com.

About The Retail Project RI: The Retail Project RI is a for-profit company that is building new national retail brands from scratch and bringing them to market in a web-first “clicks-to-bricks” model. Once there is a solid and consistent base of online sales, The Retail Project RI will begin adding brick & mortar stores in Rhode Island to provide more secure main street retail stores and jobs that leverage a national, or global, market. The Retail Project RI was an inaugural winning project for the Rhode Island Innovation Fellowship in 2012. Since then, the project has launched four national retail brands, currently selling online only: FelixChien.com, Urbilis.com, Slumbersome.com, and FetcherBay.com.
